Do nematodes have to be putu down every year?
Do nematodes live and spread from year to year? I do not want to poison my yard for the japanese beetles. I have too many birds and bees for me to poison the soil. I have plenty of seed eaters, and have put out suet for the insect eaters, but am afraid there will be too many beetles, like last year, for them to eat. What time is best to put the nematodes down? Thank you for any help you can offer. Sharon

Hi, Well there are bad nematodes and good nematodes. The good ones will attack the Japanese beetle larvae and won't hurt your yard or anything else. They are safe to apply as one type of control measure for Japanese beetles. They are a natural control that are safe to use.
