What butter is best to use when baking?
When a cookie recipe asks for a cup of butter, what butter is best to use?

In our cookie recipes we use regular salted butter. If unsalted butter or some other variety is recommended, we specifically call for it in the ingredients list. Otherwise, it's fine to use regular salted butter in your cookie recipe.

when the type of butter is not specified, it'll automatically be salted butter. unless the recipe calls for "unsalted butter".
