Which is better for me—butter or margarine?
Which is better for me—butter or margarine?

In general, margarine bests butter for heart health, because margarine is made with vegetable oils that contain no cholesterol.

However, some margarines contain high levels of trans fat. A general rule is that the harder the margarine, the higher its level of trans fat will be—therefore, tub margarines are most often preferable to stick margarines. Be sure to check the nutrition information when buying margarine and choose products with low levels of trans fat.

This is some old thinking. It has been shown from the time margarines have been made peoples health have declined from many factors. I suggest if you want the answer best for you do some research.
