Should I add water to the pan to roast a turkey?
Do you add water to the pan to roast your turkey?

No, we do not recommend adding water to the pan because it creates a steam and may steam burn the turkey. The turkey will produce its own flavorful juices. You can use extend the turkey's juices with broth or wine, then add it to your gravy for extra flavor.

just roast the turkey at 400 or 500 degrees for 30 minutes before you do anything...then roast at 300 or so.

I use a baking bag and do not add water. I believe the turkey is or moist and tender. Clean up is so much easier also!

I do because it gives me me a richer gravy and it's being basted by it's own juices.
