Peppers and frost
I still have many habanero peppers on the plants (over 100). With the threat of frost, should I cover the plants or pick them and let them ripen? Carey L. Indianapolis, IN

Hi, Sorry it took a while to get back to you. Our system was down for a few weeks for maintenance. Yes, when frost is threatened plants such as peppers and tomatoes are best harvested at that time. You can try to extend their lifespan by covering them at night with a sheet, but eventually, they are going to get hit. I'm sure, by now, your peppers are gone.
