Plum tree care
We have a 2 year dwarf plum tree. The first year no problem with pests. This year we did, it still produced fruit, but not as much. I would like to know how or with what to treat this problem and to keep it healthy. Also, what about pruning the tree? Thank you, lindajpx1 Sherwood, Oregon

Hi, Sorry this answer was delayed. Our Garden Doctor service was down for a month for repairs. You don't say what kind of pests you saw on your tree or describe any symptoms so I can't be of too much help. Keep in mind that fruit trees generally bear heavily one year and go thinner the next. They can be very cyclical in nature. A young plum tree like this should require almost no pruning unless you have broken or dead branches.
