How do I get my roses ready for winter?
what is the best way to winterize roses in the pacific northwest? Should I use cages and leaves or will that cause rot with all the rain we get?

Thanks for writing. If you're growing roses that are reliably hardy for your area, you shouldn't need to do anything special at all. If you're growing roses that are a little tender for your Zone, then it helps to give them a little winter protection with pine needles, straw, or another material that allows for some air movement.
