I have very large oak trees in my front yard and nothing grows around them, not even grass, what can i put around the large trunks to make my front yard look nice?

Hi, Well you don't have a lot of options, but you'll probably have to spread a nice-looking mulch under your trees or a gravel. In my yard, I had the same problem and after visiting a few local landscapers, discovered a thin, buckskin-colored gravel that we ended up using under a huge oak tree. This gravel is so thin that when packed down, it stays in place. Then, we added an architectural artifact and some pots of shade-loving flowers.
