Purple Hibiscus
I have two purple hibiscus plants. Both are planted in my flower beds in a mostly sunny area. I fertilize them w/miracle grow monthly. The problem is that both have split at the base stem and now the branches are laying on the ground. I there anything I can do to save them. Will they root if I cut off the branch and put in water? They also have never bloomed? Any suggestions?

Hi, Well my first instinct here is to suggest you are feeding them way too much. This can promote lots of foliar growth and few flowers. And cause the plants to grow so big and fast that they break up and fall over. I would suggest not feeding them for a while. Also, it's doubtful you can root the branches in water and have them survive. I'd just remove the broken foliage and stop fertilizing.
