What are the best vegetable's to plant in zone 8,in aug.2010? My garden will be 5'x17', in full sun. My friend and I want to get a garden going for her 6 yr.old and 3 yr. old. Help!!!Lemon Grove, ca. Mom's
Hi, Well even in California things cool down a bit in the fall so I'd focus on fall crops such as lettuce, radish, spinach, peas, beets, etc. They all do well in cooler, wetter weather. It's a bit too late in the year to grow tomatoes and other heat-loving crops.
