Brown fungus
I have an odd looking fungus in my mulched areas. Looks like brown paper golfball tees clumped together. What is it? Why do I have it. Does it harm my flowers, etc? How do I get rid of it?

Thanks for writing. There are several types of fungus that essentially feed off of mulch. These fungi don't harm plants, so you don't need to worry about it. You can get rid of the puffballs by raking them up.
