Thanks for writing. Good news! Peace lilies are among the easiest plants to grow. Start by choosing a spot that gets medium to bright light (it tolerates low light but does better when it's brighter), which means an unobstructed west- or south-facing window. Water it when the top inch or so of the soil starts to dry out (this should be before the plant starts to wilt) and apply the water by pouring it directly on the soil.
If you wish to give your plant a shower every now and again, it will appreciate the dust being washed off the leaves. To do this, run the shower so the water is just lukewarm or room temperature.
To get the fastest growth and most blooms out of your peace lily, fertilize it in the spring and summer with a general-purpose houseplant fertilizer. Follow the directions on the packaging to know when and how much to water.
