What type of grass is best?
I need a small area of grass for beauty among the flower bed (kinda like a green island floating) but one that will not want to spread into the flowers. It will receive full sun, any suggestions?

Most of the warm-season turf grasses, which are best adapted to your region are spreaders. Perhaps a similar looking plant would be a better choice than turfgrass. Clumping fescue might work or sedges (Carex). There are also other low-growing ornamental grasses that might work or a groundcover such as woolly yarrow (Achillea tomentosa), snow-in-summer (Cerastium tomentosum), and Dianthus (Dianthus gratianopolitanus) would be some choices to consider.
