Pine needles on the lawn
I have a pine tree in my back yard and it's turning my lawn brown. Help!

It would be tough to grow a lawn under a pine tree. Aside from the shade they cast, it seems as if they never stop producing needles and so it's difficult to keep the area raked. Many gardeners with tall trees underplant them with woodland shrubs and flowers, which generally thrive in the more acidic soil that pine needles promote.
