transplanting @ this time of year?
We planted several RUSSIAN SAGE plants in our very large yard. This the second year, we find that the Russian Sage has taken up much more space that we intended for it. Can we transplant at this time of year(zone 7)?
While it's possible to transplant Russian sage in mid-summer, it would be much better to do so in late summer or early spring before growth begins. The stress and shock of transplanting in the heat and dry conditions of mid-summer makes the success rate of transplanting much lower than when weather conditions are cooler.
