Drying tomato seeds.
We want to dry the seeds from our tomatoes to grow next spring. They were delicious this year and hopefully we can start the same ones from this years crop for next year. Can we do this? Thank you

Were the tomatoes that you grew from hybrid seed, or are they an heirloom variety? Heirloom  varieties generally will come true from seed while hybrids will not.

If you want to save tomato seeds you need to first ferment them to remove the gelatinous pulp from around the seed. You'll find details in our seed saving story at http://www.bhg.com/gardening/yard/garden-care/garden-seed-tips/?page=3
