Pruning Silver Lace Vine
I have 2 Silver Lace vines growing over my pergola. Each year they were beautiful with flowers hanging through the lath. Last spring I noticed they had a thicket of dead vine showing so I pruned them rather severely. Since then there has been no growth but if I cut the branches it is green inside. Should I just give up on them?

How severely were they pruned back? Do you mean that you cut them back so that no leaves remained on the vines, and none sprouted the rest of the year? If so, it's not likely that they'll sprout this spring, but I'd give them another month to 6 weeks just to be certain that they're not dead. Normally silver lace vine is quite vigorous and would resprout from a severe pruning.
