When to prune Hibiscus Plants
I have 2 large Hibiscus plants that are about 3 or 4 years old. My question is: When do I cut them back? We live in an apartment complex and our balcony where I keep the plants isn't very large. Any information will be appreciated. Thank you, Patricia Crawford

The ideal time to cut back hibiscus is in early spring as they begin to put on a growth spurt. However, you can trim them most any time that they are actively growing. Avoid pruning late in the season as they begin to shut down growth.

My hibiscus plants are 7 and 8 feet tall. How far down should I prune them for winter? They are blooming wonderfully.
