droopy tropical plants that will not bloom
How do you take care of peace lilies and bromeliad plants? Mine are droopy and will not bloom.

Both are usually low-maintenance plants for indoors. Peace lily tolerates low light levels, but blooms best in bright light. It also can take quite a bit of moisture (even growing directly in water.) Most bromeliads like high humidity, but their roots should be in well-drained soil (if they are the terrestrial type). If the plant is growing well otherwise but won't bloom, you can induce bloom by enclosing the plant in a plastic bag with ripening fruit such as apples or bananas. The ethylene gas given off by the fruit triggers flowering in bromeliads.
