I live in zone 4 and I would like to transplant some peony bush. What time of year can I transplant and do you have any tips for making the move easier. Thanks

Late summer is the best time to transplant peonies. Dig up the entire existing clump. If you want to divide the clump, this is the time to do so. Split it so that each new division has several eyes (growing points) and healthy roots. Replant at the same depth that the plant was growing. If planted too deeply, it may never bloom.
