When to deadhead "Reblooming" Hydrangea and Iris?
When should I deadhead my Reblooming Hydrangea ”Twist and Shout” and reblooming iris, for that matter? It's the first time they've bloomed, and I'm hesitant to deadhead them, since I'm not sure how the "reblooming" works. I'm in Zone 5, Sullivan County in NY. Thanks!

Thanks for writing. Remove the flowers on both varieties as soon as they fade; it will help your hydrangea bloom faster and will increase your chances of seeing a rebloom on the iris. You can remove the entire bloom stalk on the iris; cut the hydrangea back to the first set of leaves under the flower head.
