Shade Perennials
What types of perennials will do in almost complete shade. We have a long driveway which has trees on both sides. Little light gets through. I have planted hostas and 2 astible plants. I am looking for other types. Would ferns, lily of the valley, bleeding heart, coralbells do better? Some of my hostas have faded away. Thank you.

Thanks for writing. Without seeing the spot to see exactly how much light it gets, it's tough to say for sure which plants will do best for you. But as a general rule, lily-of-the-valley, bigroot geranium, bleeding heart, wild ginger, and ajuga are good for low-light spots. Learn more about these and other good varieties:
