Container Gardening with perennials
If I am in zone 6 and I plant hydrangeas and hostas in containers do I have to bring them in during the winter months ?

Hi,

Thanks for writing. If you have a large enough container (at least 40 inches in diameter or so), your plants should be fine in it, especially if you can move it to a sheltered spot or cover it in mulch. I'd recommend moving smaller containers into an unheated garage, shed, or basement for the winter, just to be safe.
