tree next to patio
Japanese snowbell tree was planted right next to concrete patio & almost touching house. Were told it was a slow growing tree & not to worry about it growing large & damaging house siding or cracking patio.

Japanese snowbell (Styrax japonicus) is a medium -size tree that grows to 30 feet tall and 25 feet wide. It's not an aggressive or fast grower, but still should be planted 10 to 12 feet away from a house to give it room to expand to it's full width. Of course, you can prune out branches on the side next to the house, but doing so will create a one-sided tree.
