My Columbine did not bloom this year. I want to know why?
I planted a columbine in the summer of 2008. It had red flowers. It gets both sun and shade and a maple tree provides it shade. It bloomed last year but there were no blooms this season. I did use Schultz bloom plus as I do for all my other perennials and annuals. This works for all my plants. Please reply.

From the information that you provide, I can't determine any particular reason why your columbine wouldn't have bloomed this year. Columbines tend to be short-lived, but often self seed. Is it possible that this is a seedling rather than the same plant that you planted last year? In that case, it may be a maturity factor.
