Needing a flower to plant in wet area
My dishwasher and washing machine drain into an area that I now have indian hawthorne. I want to pull those and plant something that will grow all year. I have lariope, lantana (yellow) and society garlic in other planting beds. What can I plant along this short walkway to the pool that will look good year round and survive the very damp soil?

Thanks for writing. Some good moisture-loving plants include:

Perennial hibiscus,

Swamp milkweed,

Buttonbush (Cephalanthus)

Winterberry (Ilex verticillata)

Willow (Salix)

Carolina allspice (Calycanthus)
