What can you tell me about ivy geranium? Will it survive in a partly sunny kitchen window? I know it is an outdoor plant. Are they a perennial? thanks

Thanks for writing. Ivy geraniums are typically grown as annuals, though in warm-weather climates (or if you bring it inside every year) you can treat it like a tropical annual.

They do best in bright light -- so I can't say how well it will do in your window. But it's definitely worth a try. Water it when the potting mix feels dry to the touch (geraniums don't like too much water). If it doesn't bloom and stems get long and look stretched, it's probably not getting enough light and moving it to a brighter spot should help.
