japanese maple tree
I have a garnet japanese maple tree i planted in 10/08. Half of it has leaves and the other half does not. what could be the problem? thanks!

Fall planted trees are more subject to winter injury damage than ones that have been established for longer. Your tree may not be dead on the half that has not yet leafed out. Give it more time. Sometimes the winter injury simply shows up as delayed bud break.
