rust on oak leaf hydrangea
I have oakleaf hydrangea on the north side of house in morning sun, and I water it every 2 to 3 days. Only my oakleaf has the rust. It looks like little rusty spots on leaves.

Remove the affected leaves or the entire plant from the landscape to reduce spread of the disease. Clean plant debris in the fall or early spring to remove any over-wintering rust spores.
In the meantime, keep the plant as dry as possible, watering at the roots, not on the leaves. There are fungicides you can purchase to reduce the effects of the disease and keep it from spreading.
