Storing tulip bulbs
I bought tulip bulbs that I want to give as gifts next May. What is the best way to keep them till then. I live in Wisconsin.

The tulip bulbs should be planted or potted up this fall. They are not likely to survive in storage all winter without being planted. You could plant them in pots, provide the chilling treatment that they need to bloom (refrigerated just above freezing), then give them as gifts in the blooming stage.
