No Blooms on Gladiolus
I planted thirty bulbs last spring and got plentiful foliage but no blooms. Did I plant them too close together? I wanted them close, 3-4 inches apart, for them to lean on one another. I planted another 20 or so this spring and nothing yet. I spaced them a little farther apart. Is it too early yet for blooms?

Gladiolus generally blooms in July and August. Do you have signs of insect damage on your glads? They are susceptible to pests like aster yellows, which could cause them not to bloom. It could help to spray your plants with an insecticide meant for leafhoppers, which are similar.
