My zucchini grows part of the way and then the rest of it rots. I have gotten some zucchini and they are great. Someone told me that I need to add lime is that right? My yard needs lime because there is alot of moss growing. This our first year growing a garden in the ground we use to grow by pots. Please help? Kathy

Your problem--the zucchini fruits start to grow but then rot--is caused by incomplete pollination. The bees may have been driven from their work by excessive rain, chilly weather, or pesticides. You can hand pollinate by dusting pollen (use a soft paint brush or tissue) from one bloom to another.
