wilted tomatoes
"Well I went and planted my tomato plants, and that night the temp dropped, the leaves are fried. I planted them with about 80% of the plant in the ground,do you think they'll survive? my husband wants to pull them out and start over,, what do you think???"

Thanks for writing. Without being able to see your tomatoes, I can't say for sure if they'll come back or not. It depends on exactly how cold it got and how long it stayed cold.

But you don't have anything to lose by waiting a couple of weeks and seeing if they grow back. If the roots weren't damaged, they should resprout and grow pretty quickly when the temperatures warm up again. In the meantime, keep them protected from cool dips if the temperature goes under 45F or so.

Good luck!
