why radishes hot/bitter?
I live in Twin Falls, Idaho, and planted a few rows of Cherry Belle radishes this spring. They are producing just fine, but are hot to taste. Why?

Generally radishes can be hot to the taste if they haven't had enough moisture during their growth period. They also get really hot if they are harvested too late. Once the plants begin to send up flower stalks, the roots become very hot. Keep them well irrigated and harvest on the young side. Don't let them sit too long in the garden."
