removing leaves from dogwood tree
I have a small dogwood and the leaves looked so dry and brittle that I removed them all, my husband said that is bad for the tree and I might have hurt it for the winter. Did I hurt my tree. It is only 2 years old.

Thanks for writing. Did you remove just the leaves or did you remove the leaves and cut back the stems?

If you removed just the leaves, you probably didn't hurt your dogwood much. If you cut it back at all, then it may be more susceptible to winter damage and it's unlikely to bloom in the spring.
