Hostas & sunlight
Will my hostas, transplanted from my late mother's garden, survive in a sunny location?

Most hostas require at least partial shade to grow well, especially in the afternoon. Some varieties tolerate more sun than others, so depending on the variety your mother's hostas may survive in your garden. However, it would be better to plant them in a shady location. Hostas also prefer moist soil, so give them plenty of water.
