canna seeds or bulbs
After the canna blooms there is a large pod on the stems. is this a seed or a bulb? how and when do we plant this?

The pods that develop near the top of the canna stem are seed pods. If you'd like to try to grow cannas from seed, allow the pod to mature on the plant. It will turn brown and dry eventually.  The plants that develop from these seeds may not resemble the parent plant, so if you'd like more of the same type of canna, it's a better choice to dig up and divide the rhizomes in the ground.
