Fertilizers
Is a tablespoon the correct amount of fertilizer, to add on only one tree or shrub?

Fertilizer rates vary based on the product formulation; follow the application rate listed on the package instructions. A tablespoon of 10-10-10 granular fertilizer would hardly make a difference on a tree or shrub outdoors, but would be far too much for a potted plant indoors, for example. Labels are tedious but packed with valuable information.
