Resurfacing a concrete patio
I have an aggregate concrete patio that is showing the signs of its 20 year old age. It is cracking and discolored. It has holes from gravel coming out of the concrete. It is surrounded by garden on three sides and my home on the fourth. I want to use the option that will disturb the garden the least. I have thought of pavers or pouring a couple inches of concrete and stamping it with a design. Are there other options or are these the best?

I think that covering the unsightly damaged patio with pavers may be your best option for rescuing the area. Pouring a thin layer of concrete over the existing surface brings the possibility of cracked concrete because it will be thinner than customary depth used for  concrete walking surfaces.
