Is my Oak tree dead?
I live in northern Arizona, and we planted an oak tree in the spring of last year. It did great all year. This spring, no new leaves appeared on the established part of the tree. Now, up to about a foot and a half up the bottom of the tree, small branches with leaves have grown. Is there a way to save this tree?

Thanks for writing. I'm really sorry, but without being able to see your oak, I can't really say what's wrong with it or how to fix it. My best suggestion is to contact the folks at your local garden center or county extension office; they should be able to help more if you can bring a sample and photos.

Good luck!
