When is the right time to plant flowers
I am very new at gardening. I know I am in zone 7b. I want to have flowers blooming very soon. I have two flower beds infront of my house that get direct sunlight during the day. When I look for plants I see the bloom time. I'm confused by this. Does it mean to plant the seed (early fall, late fall) or does it mean that's when I will see results? I'm confused. I want to get seeds in the ground and see some flowers before winter or until the first frost. Please help. Thank you!

Thanks for writing. You can plant established trees, shrubs, and perennials now for color in the fall --- but you'll want to wait until spring to start most kinds of seeds.
