Preserving herbs
I am growing basil and parsley in containers. How should I dry these so I can use them in the winter? Thanks Sue

It's a good idea to just freeze basil and parsley in ice-cube trays. They stay fresher that way than dried herbs.Just put the leaves into the separate compartments, gently pour in some water, and put the trays in the freezer. Let them thaw on a dish before using, or just plop into liquid concoctions like stews and soups.
