CONEFLOWERS DON'T COME BACK
WHAT IS GOING ON WITH MY CONEFLOWERS? THREE DIFFERENT VARIETIES FAILED TO RETURN THIS YEAR. THEY ARE IN TWO DIFFERENT PARTS OF MY YARD. ANY SUGGESTIONS ON PREVENTING THIS NEXT YEAR?

Do you have clay soil in your yard? If so, that could explain your coneflowers' disappearing act. Clay soil tends to "swallow" them. These plants need good drainage. Mix in sand and organic matter to improve water drainage.
