Conditions to keep mums blooming
Is there a way to allow mums to bloom for longer periods of time? I am having an event in October and have purchased many just opening buds- would like them in bloom in mid Oct.- should I keep away from sun? light? or does it not matter.

The mums need full sun (or at least half day sun.) The major factor in keeping them in bloom longer is temperature. The cooler you keep them (above freezing conditions, of course) the longer they will stay in bloom. At high temperatures, they'll bloom out quickly.
