how late can I plant butterbeans
How late can I plant speckled butterbeans from seed? I live in zone 8. The rest of my garden is dying out now, so I would really like to replant butterbeans in their place.

"Hi,

Thanks for writing. Butterbeans take about 90 days to grow from seed to a mature bearing plant, so you'll need to plant the seeds at least three months before your first expected fall frost date. See a map of frost dates here: http://www.bhg.com/gardening/gardening-by-region/regional-gardening/autumn-frost-zone-map/
