Pinching back annual seedlings
I'm starting snapdragons indoors from seed. Currently, the seedlings are 2-3 inches tall and have one full set of true leaves and are starting to develop a second set. To keep the seedlings short, stocky and well-branched, can I pinch back to the seed leaves? Or do I have to wait until I can pinch above a set of true leaves?

If these were mine, I would wait a little longer until you can pinch back to the true leaves. If you go back to the seed leaves you run the risk of the buds being blind and not throwing out side shoots. So nice to hear of real gardeners starting from seed. It's pretty much gone out of fashion but is so rewarding. Good luck with the snaps.
