Nemesia
I usually plant a lot of nemesia...they're easy and the colors are perfect for a cottage garden. This year, however, I cannot get a nemesia to grow to save my life. They all have turned light green/yellow, and do not bloom. This has never happened before. They get the right amount of water and sun, not too much/too little of either. I can't figure it out - these are usually a slam-dunk. Any thoughts??

Hi,

Thanks for writing. Is your area experiencing warmer temperatures than usual? Nemesia is a cool-season crop and will stop blooming (and often starts to "melt") when temperatures get hot. Here in Iowa, it looks beautiful in the spring, but then fades away once our summer heat arrives.
