keeping geraniums over winter
In Wis, I'm wondering if I can keep my geraniums over winter for next year. If I can please tell me how to do this. Thank you.

Well the best way is to take cutting as soon as possible and start them indoors and pot them up as houseplants. If you have potted geraniums now that aren't too big or messy, you can grow them indoors, but often it's best to start with new cuttings since the old plants can be harboring diseases that will kill the plant eventually. There are also people who believe you can take them out of their pots, hang them upside down in brown paper sacks with no soil for the winter in a cool, dark location and they will survive till spring. I've never tried this method, but for the hassle, I'd take my own cuttings or just buy new plants in the spring.
