brown leaves on Japanese Maple
The leaves on my Japanese Maple are curling up and the edges are turning brown. It is in a pot on my deck. Is this caused by lack of water or too much? Or something else.

It sounds like your Japanese maple may be suffering from sun scorch. They prefer part to full shade and must be sheltered from the hot afternoon sun. Your maple might also be getting too dry between watering, so the leaf tips suffer when it can't pump enough moisture to keep up. If it was overwatering, you'd see entire leaves yellowing.
