Need help with a new garden.
I'm starting a garden for the first time. What is the best way to prep the ground that's more sand than soil? Also do you have any suggestions for someone just starting out?
Hi, Well to have a successful garden, soil is key. If your soil has a high sand content, you should try to add as much organic matter as possible (compost, rotted manure, peat moss, fresh soil, etc). The organic matter will improve your soil's fertility and help absorb moisture that your plants can use. Add several inches of organic matter and then till it all together with your existing soil.
